From 1987 to 1991, I studied communication design at Munich University of Applied Sciences.
Most of my semester projects were photography projects, but for my thesis I wrote and illustrated a children's book and had my first daughter at the same time.
In the years that followed, I created more than a hundred other books for almost all German children's book publishers. I also had two more wonderful daughters and tried (with little success) to take a few semesters of philosophy and ethnology.
In 2004, I traded my pencil for a camera and was fortunate enough to have a fulfilling career as a photographer.
In concrete terms, this meant that since the beginning of 2005, I have been able to portray approximately 10,000 people.
The lens is good for life, the pencil is good for the soul.
That's why I've been trying to draw a little more again since 2024.
I am particularly pleased that people want to buy these pictures.
My principle here is the same as in photography:
I only work for clients whose philosophy I find right and important.
No matter whether they are rich or poor. No matter whether they are ‘big’ or ‘small’.

The longest and most informative report about our Supergrannies to date! And I get to say a few words too ;-)
Two television reports about a project that I had the privilege of bringing to life in 2023 as a portrait photographer: “The legendary Granniegang”
Back in 2017, I had the idea of photographing older women who had lived a ‘typical woman's life’ as superheroes, because I think these women simply deserve it (!).
It wasn't until 2023 that I found enough women willing to take part in this project. Together with author Ulla Wohlgeschaffen, whom I got to know through her podcast (see below), and who ultimately wrote down these women's life stories, an exhibition project was created that has since brought joy to many people.
And now television has also reported on it ;-)
