Susanne Krauss, graduate designer, has been working as an illustrator, photographer and author in Munich since 1992.
She loves to create pictures and stories that tell something about life.
Birth, love, old age and death particularly touch her. For Susanne, this is 'the poetry of being'.

About Susanne
Susanne studied communication design at Munich University of Applied Sciences from 1987 to '91.
For her diploma thesis, she wrote and drew a children's book and had her first wonderful daughter at the same time.
In the years that followed, she illustrated more than a hundred different books for almost all German children's book publishers, which were published worldwide.
At the same time, she studied philosophy and ethnology for a few (unfortunately few) semesters and gave birth to two more wonderful daughters.
In 2004 she felt 'emptied' and switched to photography.
Since then, she has produced many more (photographed) non-fiction books, well over 1000 different portraits of well-known and unknown personalities, as well as countless reportages for publishers, agencies and large companies.
Susanne focuses on life, death, birth and old age in all her work.
In 2017, 2020 and 2023, Susanne qualified for the Amory Art Weeks in New York and for the Valid World Hall in Barcelona as a semi-finalist of the Arbox Project with her art projects 'Walfang', 'Wolkenschiff', and 'Loved'.
In 2023, her portrait project Granniegang received nationwide press coverage.
ArtMUC Munich sponsored a special guest stand for her, the works found over 60,000 fans on Instagram and were sold worldwide.
